​Ежегодно во второе воскресенье ноября в Эстонии отмечается День отцов. Официальная история этого семейного праздника началась в 1992 году, хотя, конечно, и раньше во многих семьях устраивали праздничные дни в честь сильных и любимых пап. Накануне ноябрьского праздника в детских садах проходят тематические утренники, а в школах — концерты для родителей. Дети вручают папам самодельные открытки и подарки — обычно это вырезанные из бумаги и раскрашенные галстуки или автомобили. В День отца в некоторых городах вывешивают флаги. Пока День отцов в Эстонии остается для большинства официальным нововведением, но постепенно праздник становится общим для всей страны, укрепляя свои традиции.
