Юный Ян Сибелиус учился в финноязычной школе, и с каждым годом всё теснее сближался с культурой, духом и историей Финляндии и её народа. Его творчество тесно переплетено с финским национальным эпосом. Концертный зал в Лахти, носящий название Сибелиус-Холла, ежегодно 8 декабря наполняется звучанием музыкальных произведений Яна Сибелиуса. Именно 8 декабря ценители творчества приезжают в город Лахти, чтобы послушать поизведения великого композитора. Билеты на концерт давно распроданы.
