Обрушение виадука в Генуе — катастрофа в Италии на расположенном в черте Генуи путепроводе «Мост Моранди». Обрушение 200-метрового пролёта автомобильного моста произошло в 11:36 по местному времени 14 августа 2018 года на автостраде A10 на севере Италии. Вместе с пролётом моста вниз сорвались 35 транспортных средств. По предварительным данным погибло 43 человека, 4 из них дети. В результате катастрофы Генуя потеряла одну из своих достопримечательностей и ключевую транспортную артерию, связывающую город и его большой порт с автомагистралями, ведущей во Францию и ряд других итальянских городов.
В апреле 2020 года в Генуе установили последнюю секцию нового автодорожного моста, который заменил старый. Последнюю стальную 50-метровую секцию весом 500 тонн подняли и закрепили на высоте около 40 метров на двух новых опорах. В целом мост длиной 1067 метров состоит из 18 опор и будет освещаться 43 лампами — по одной в память о каждой жертве обвала.
«Это особенный и символичный день для Италии. Этот мост — символ возрождения, перезагрузка для всей страны», — сказал премьер-министр Джузеппе Конте.
В новом ивенте на портале World of Trucks команда разработчиков Euro Truck Simulator 2 просит сообщество собраться вместе и помочь закончить строительство, доставив материалы и технику на строительную площадку. В свою очередь команда организаторов VTC.World хочет по своему помочь этому величайшему событию. Доставьте особые тяжелые грузы к месту строительства.
